About the Journal
The Kontagora Journal of Science and Technology (KONJOST) is a peer-reviewed, inter-disciplinary journal committed to the advancement of research in pure and applied sciences and in science and technology education. The journal provides an inclusive platform for original research articles in form of theoretical discourses, empirical studies, and critical reviews for exploring the key developments, innovations, and pedagogical questions in science and technology education with two issues in a year.
The scope of KONJOST covers a wide spectrum of areas of sciences and technology, including but not limited to: Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science and Information Technology. In addition to scientific and technological studies, the journal invites scholarly articles that bother on the educational component of science and technology such as Science Education, Integrated Science, Human Kinetics and Health Education, Educational Technology and Environmental Education. These are research studies aimed at investigating the learning and teaching of STEM subjects, instructional technologies, their design and utilization, and evidence-based approaches to teaching. Research on the design, implementation, and evaluation of STEM curricula, and policy debates around science and technology teaching at all levels are also within the scope of the journal.
KONJOST is also interested in studies that address the technology aspect of education, i.e., the design and use of hardware, software, digital platforms, and virtual environments supporting teaching and learning activities. It encourages submission of papers that propose new approaches to STEM engagement, including robotics, artificial intelligence for education, simulations, mobile learning, remote laboratories, and other emerging educational technologies. With this broad and inclusive scope, KONJOST aims to provide significant inputs in science progress and in science and technology education reform, and to instill a mindset of research, innovation, and critical thinking among researchers, educators, and policymakers.
We are therefore pleased to invite you to submit original manuscripts for consideration in our current volume (Vol.18 Issue 1).
