About the Journal

The Kontagora International Journal of Educational Research (KIJER)

KIJER is a journal of the Federal University of Education. It is a peer-reviewed journal published twice a year: May and November.
The editorial board invites interested scholars and researchers to submit well researched manuscripts with 80% originality for publication.
The main purpose of KIJER is to publish quality research work in the discipline of General Education, Arts, Social Sciences, Languages and Humanities, Early Childhood Education, Science Education, Special Education, Vocational and Technical Education.

Deadline for the submission of manuscript

Manuscripts should be submitted on or before 1st April 2024.

Guideline for Manuscript Submission

  1. Manuscript meant for submission should be written in English Language with strict adherence to British standard
  2. Manuscript should be typed in Microsoft Word on A4 paper size using Time New Roman, 12 font size, double line spacing and not more than 15 pages.
  3. The title page should capture the title of the manuscript, the author(s) name(s) (surname in upper case), institutional affiliation, functional email address and phone number
  4. Abstract should be single line spacing, italicized and not more than 200 words with maximum of 5 keywords
  5. Empirical papers should be presented under the following headings: Introduction, Research Question, Hypotheses, Methodology, Presentation of Results, Discussion of findings, Conclusion, Recommendations and References.
  6. Position papers should be presented under the following headings: Introduction, Relevant headings, Conclusion, Recommendations and References.
  7. Tables, figures, citations and references should be rendered in APA 7th edition format.
  8. Manuscript can be submitted at any time of the year electronically via email: kijer@fuekjournals.org and niyisola@gmail.com
  9. All manuscripts are subjected to blind peer review; papers that are already published or considered for publication elsewhere are unacceptable.
