THE PREFERENCE OF LOVE FOR HUMANITY OVER RELIGIOSITY: AN APPLICATION OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE FROM THE PRISM OF ISLAM IN ADDRESSING THE GLOBAL ECONOMIC CRISIS

Abstract

The love for humans holds a great significance in Islam, representing the most valuable thing in the whole world. Human life is too precious to be wasted by senseless killing. In Islam, killing a soul is as killing the whole humanity, and saving a soul is as saving the whole 
humanity. This study explores the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) towards promoting the preference of love for humanity over religiosity among people of diverse faiths, social, and cultural backgrounds within the Islamic context. It specifically focuses on the preference of 
showing deep affection to all mankind over all other affiliations. The global economic crisis, exacerbated by issues such as inequality, unemployment, and economic instability, has compounded social and cultural divides. This situation calls for a multi-disciplinary approach 
to resolve these challenges and promote global harmony. Through a combination of oral interviews and textual analysis, the paper delves into Islamic textual injunctions regarding the social unit, particularly concerning interactions between Muslims and non-Muslims. In 
Southern Kaduna, some instances of recurrent violent conflicts (2011–2023) were observed, highlighting the economic implications of these tensions. Nonetheless, the research argues that Islam emphasizes the importance of humanity and its usefulness irrespective of religious 
affiliation over religiosity. This principle fosters peaceful coexistence among Muslims and people of diverse faiths and represents a significant step towards promoting social and economic stability. A localized or community-based Artificial Intelligence (AI) can be developed and used as a tool to address the global economic crisis, fostering economic cooperation, understanding, and empathy in society.
