The method of teaching L1 and L2 cannot be overemphasized. Therefore, this paper tries to x-ray the methodology of teaching Hausa L1 and L2 and how this method could deal with two situations in a classroom environment. It also touches some aspect of pronunciation and how the accent it an individual interfaces with L2. It goes further to proffer solution on how this problems can be minimize to a bearable level. The use of minimal pairs stress and intonation work are also discussed.
